I work with individuals and businesses large and small creating everything from wedding invitations, personal stationery, family, home, and pet portraits, to logos, event branding, illustrations, and artwork for products like apparel, glassware, and greeting cards.

I received my B.A. in Art History and Visual Arts from Barnard College. There I focused on feminist art, drawing and painting, though my computer nerd tendencies never left me. I work primarily in Photoshop with my trusty Wacom tablet.

I live in a 1920's bungalow in Ferndale, Michigan with my husband, daughter, and our two cats.

The name She Can Lift a Horse refers to the character Pippi Longstocking, the create of Astrid Lindgren. A lover of books and former children's bookseller, I'm strongly influenced by children's literature and Pippi is free-spirited, strong-willed, and wonderfully strange – characteristics that inspire my personal work.
